Vintage ALF Plush Doll from Coleco - 1986
In 1986, Coleco introduced an ALF plush doll based on the furry alien character who had his own television series at the time, as well as a "Wisecracking ALF" talking version and a cassette-playing "Storytelling ALF" doll.
Coleco Industries had permission from Lorimar Telepicture Licensing Group,
to production of the famous doll from the TV series: ALF - was a funny little Alien-doll, who could tell stories via a build in cassette-player. With "Storytelling Alf" the stories and songs changed depending on the cassette you inserted. Separate cassettes were available if you ever got bored of the stories, which was more than likely. He could be turned on by a button at the base of the toy, where you could also adjust the volume. Once ALF started talking his eyebrows, ears and mouth would move in sync with the tape to make it look like he was really talking.
